Terrence Josiah Kahl
Funeral services for Terrence Josiah "T.J." Kahl, 23, of Henryville, Indiana, will be held at 12 noon, on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Pkwy. in Jeffersonville, with burial to follow in Silver Creek Cemetery in Sellersburg. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home. He passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2020.
T.J. was born on March 13, 1996 in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He graduated from Jeffersonville High School and was currently working at Charter Communications. T.J. enjoyed life to the fullest. He grew up loving to watch cop shows on TV and listening to his police scanner. He loved LIVE PD and was hoping to become a 911 dispatcher. T.J. was full of life and unconditional love for his friends and family. He always tried to make his mom proud and was her best friend. They used to joke they were twins. T.J. had an amazing soul and was hilarious. He woke up daily knowing he was going to make someone laugh or put a smile on someone's face. He looked forward to going to Charter for work because he would make his teammates constantly laugh T.J. was brutally honest and you could always count on him giving you his opinion without sugar coating it. T.J. loved all of his friends, especially his best friend Taylor Ellis. He loved his siblings and was very proud of them. T.J. let them know that he, "loved them all to pieces."
He is survived by his loving parents, Brandy and Keith Phillips; step-father, Malcolm Lilly; five siblings, Tyler Kahl, Jasmine and Jade Lilly; KJ Phillips; Kiela Phillips; his nanny, Debbie Kahl; ole nanny, Janie Kahl; grandma, Juanita Phillips; his uncle, Brandon Kahl; two great uncles, Richard Kahl; Bobby Kahl (Lisa); great aunt, Carol Applegate; his best friend, Taylor Ellis; and numerous cousins and friends.
