Jeffersonville, IN - Thomas H. "Tommy" Ellingsworth, 73, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Norton Clark Hospital, surrounded by his family.

Born on December 13, 1952, in Jeffersonville, Tommy was the son of the late Tom and Janet Ellingsworth. A lifelong farmer, he devoted his career to working the family land at Rolling Acres Farm. Tommy began as a dairy farmer and later transitioned to grain farming, dedicating himself to the agricultural heritage that had been a cornerstone of his family for generations.

Tommy was known for his deep appreciation for rural life. Outside of farming, he enjoyed attending auctions and searching for antiques, always appreciating the stories and history behind the treasures he found. He was also a longtime member of the Clark County Conservation and Casting Club in Utica, where he enjoyed the fellowship of friends who shared his interests.

In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by his brother, Clark Ellingsworth; his sister, Sylvia Miller; and his niece, Jennifer Miller.

He leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory, including his sister, Terri Rickel and her husband, Bob; his nieces, Kathryn Daly and her husband, Eric, and Elizabeth Scott; and his six beloved great-nephews and great-nieces, Nicholas, Bennett, and Sawyer Daly, and June, Olive, and Will Scott. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were enriched by knowing him.

Tommy's life was rooted in family and the land he loved. His dedication, kindness, and enduring connection to his community will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m., with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Clark County Conservation and Casting Club or to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
