Funeral services for Thomas P. "T.P." Butler, 61, of New Albany, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, in the Paul F. Kraft Sr. Memorial Chapel at Newcomer Funeral Home, New Albany. He died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011.. He proudly served our country as a U.S. Marine in Vietnam. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for more than 25 years.. T.P. was born April 18, 1950, in Danville, Va., to Bertha Mae (Jones) Butler and the late Eugene A. Butler.. In addition to his mother, survivors include his loving wife of 37 years, Janice M. (Bowe) Butler; daughter, Ashley R. Fessel and her husband Lanny; son, Rhett J. Butler and his wife Kistrin; sister, Rhoda Cole; brother, Stanley Butler and his wife Debbie; and niece, Amy Goforth and her husband Rod.. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home..
