Otisco, Indiana - Warren DeWeese, 98, of Otisco, IN, passed away at 4:45 AM on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, IN.
Born January 12, 1920 in Leitchfield, KY, he was the son of Oscar DeWeese and Sarah Frances.
He retired form Colgate-Palmolive and enjoyed living on a small farm. He was a WW II United States Navy Veteran and a member of the American Legion in Sellersburg and Scottsburg.
Survivors include children, Donald DeWeese of Otisco, IN, Sue (Leroy) Guthrie of Henryville, IN, LaDonna (Richard) Robertson of Otisco, IN, and Helen (Roger) Sweeny of Henryville, IN, 11 grandchildren, Timothy Guthrie, Mark (Lisa) Guthrie, Kellye Guthrie, Kristie Guthrie, Matt (Amy) Guthrie, Todd (Jennifer) Robertson, Kevin (Annette) Robertson, Greg (Tammi) Robertson, Richard (Erin) Laing, Jessica (Brent) Weatherford, Kaelynn (Dylan Spencer) Sweeney, 28 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, Duke DeWeese and Hubert DeWeese, 1 sister, Shirley DeWeese.
He was also preceded in death by a son, James DeWeese in 1976 and a grandson, Danny Guthrie in 1991.
Pastor Richard Ramsey will conduct funeral services at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Henryville with a military honor guard graveside service at Mt Zion Cemetery. Cremation will follow the military service.
Visitation will be Monday, June 18, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and after 9:00 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
