William L. Bates, 66 of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on June 9, 2021 at Lincoln Hills Health Center. He was born August 20, 1954 in Louisville, Kentucky to William and Naomi Bates.
William was a Pentecostal who loved the Lord. He loved watching old westerns, especially John Wayne who was his hero. William worked in the HVAC industry for 20 years. He loved to eat but more than anything, he loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Danny Fraze. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Amber (Zack) Patty and Shonna (Stevie) Strotman; brothers, Larry Bates, Larry Fraze and Mike Fraze; grandchildren, Tyler Matthew Patty, Zackeriah Elliott Patty Jr., David Allen (Kirbi) Bates and Victoria Lacey (Kyle) Carroll; great-grandchildren, Owen Wayne Bates, Anastasia Shae Bates, JaKobe Allen Bates, Jocelyn Gwen Mullins and Raylan Elwin Headley and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other family and friends.
Visitation was Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. at Spring Valley Funeral Home of New Albany, Indiana. William's service will be held Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at noon also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Petersburg Cemetery in Sebree, Kentucky.
