William O. Carpenter
William O. "Bill" Carpenter of New Albany, Indiana went home to be with the Lord on Thursday afternoon. He was born in Vienna, West Virginia to the late Chester and Mary (McGaughy) Carpenter. He retired as a Service Representative for Bechtel Equipment in Louisville, KY. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a devout member of Christ Community Church of the Nazarene in New Albany,
He is survived by his wife Charlotte (Shannon) Carpenter; his sons, Timothy (Trudy) and Matthew Carpenter; daughters Lisa Crosby (Clint) and Nancy Ann Dean (Mark); step-daughters Julie Pratz and Tenille Fox (Isaac); his sister Joan Meyer (George) and 16 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sons Doug and Christopher Carpenter and his brother Charles Carpenter.
Visitation will be from 2-6 PM Sunday at the Market Street Chapel of Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes (1119 E. Market St., New Albany).
His funeral service will be held at 10 AM Monday at Christ Community Church of the Nazarene (4920 Charlestown Rd., New Albany). Visitation at church will be from 9-10 AM.
Burial will be in SCI-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.

Bill was a special man that loved God one day I went to see bill and he was in the garage and he prayed for me and I'll never forget him ,he said when one prays for you it's the best gift one can receive and he was right .i know he is with God and he can see and hear and dancing with all his family .You was loved and you will be missed .from your old neighbor and friend David Emmett
